Almost ready for paint!

Well I've got all the prep work done that I can do myself, it's mainly to keep it from rusting. I still need to replace the driver front fender, strip the Pontiac emblems, and I wan't a new hood. If I can't get a CF hood for it, I'l probably just find a 2nd gen z24 hood for it. I really wan't carbon fiber though. It looks bad but it's only temporary. Any ideas on colors, I'm kinda thinking green. I also threw in a picture of my sub just for giggles

That is if cardomain doesn't act up.

Ya, they look good that way, but I was thinkin if I'm going to spend the money to get it painted, I might as well have something loud and unusual. I wanted to have it painted yellow because you hardly never see sunbirds that color, but I'm not sure.

I love metalic green and you never see cars that color anywhere, and with a carbon fiber hood (if I can find one) and yellow underbody lights with some 17" rims.....it would look bad ass....

Im not sure if that would look cheesey though.

Yellow with blue lights or Orange with red lights where the other combinations I'm thinking of.

if you want to go loud and out of the ordinary... go with PPG Radiance 2 Green over Sterling Silver..... might be a little more expensive, but.... dayamn!!!

I still don't know how much it's going to cost...I dont trust MACO.....

Looney tuner......I like the way you think

How much have people been paying for a decent paint job? I need some minor bodywork done (2 little dents) I'm thinking about $1200 for everything finished, does that sound a little low? If I find a CF hood, I don't suppose they'll knock down the price for not having to paint it (or just clear coating).

Does JSP have a web page or phone #? that would help.

I'm kinda a nostalga nut and don't want to change anything exept the hood and rims.

1200 is a bit on the low side

Im planning on having it painted one solid color. No metalic, candy or anything. Just the outside of the car not the door jams or anything. Basically your normal MACO job but by someone that knows how to paint.

Well that makes me feel better....I'm not looking for something special, just a regular re-spray, maybee one of there $700 paint jobs plus some minor dentwork. Wonder how long they'd have the car, I'll have to ride my motorcycle to work when they have it. (rain or snow).
