95-99 cavy eyelids installed
Tuesday, June 07, 2005 6:18 PM
95-99 cavalier eyelids, courtesy of tabasco and onyxx2pt2 (my cars slower than your car). i wanted to post pics here to show everyone how awesome they look. the quality is amazing and they fit great. received them in under a week. only $50 shipped. heck of a deal if you ask me. anyways, on to the pics

PS. i know my car looks like crap. i'm in the process of painting it and i've never painted a car before so its a learning process.

Looks great. Got an off topic question. Where did you get that drift front from? Looks like a really good fit.

I agree, its different, and not in a bad way.

at least you're trying to learn.

On your own car to boot!

they look nice but honeslt yim not a big fan of eyelids unless they are molded into the body and hood, looks less "cheap" but it gives the headlights a nice look.... just my 2 cents....

its not rattled canned. i'm using paint that my boss got me from an old friend. he gave me a sheet with color samples and i picked the one that i liked and his friend got me primer, paint, clear, and reducer. it was rather inexpensive, so maybe that should have been an indication to me that it was cheap paint. i really like the color though. i sprayed the trunk first and its all glossy and looks good. the rest of the car is a different story. its mainly the hood and fenders that look like crap. perhaps i should have sanded more before adding the first coat of paint. what you see is only the first coat. i just threw everything together for some pictures so that people could see the eyelids. i'm not happy with the way the paint looks so i'll probably sand it down and try again, not a big deal. priming the car was easy and that went on smoothly and looked good. i guess i should have listened to people when they told me that painting was more difficult than priming. oh well, i'm not building a show car here, i'm just trying to teach myself how to do a few things. i shaved the door handles, lock, and antenna and those turned out great, i've never welded before so that was kinda fun. thanks for the comments, criticisms and what not. back on topic, comment on the eyelids, not my crappy painting skills

I realy like your attitude while taking all this flak about the paint. dont let any bad comments stop you from learning, you admit it might not be great, and you are posative about it. eyelids look great, car looks like its coming along nicely, i would love to see it when finished.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Not bad. Helps the front end's appearance. Did the same effect for me also.
