awesome, smashy smashy.
How many steps to heaven, Doc?
...Ah, metaphysics.
eh looks like it held decent.....correct me if im wrong but the cavalier had a good frontal and rear impact, just sub-par drivers side impact
I thought the side impacts on our cars were terrible...

I got rear ended by a cav when i drove a cutlass (much bigger car). The cav was perfect and my whole trunk was laying on the ground........
Someone should post that link every time somone asks about the VSS mod removal.

Arrrhem..... I rear ended a 2000something Jetta on the highway in a traffic jam last year. Because I skidded trying to stop, the car simply nosed under the Jetta. A small scratch on the bitch's car, 5000+$CAD of damage on mine. Cavys are weak.
For comparison, I was with my friend in his 2003 Vibe AWD. ,and he hit a car that burnt a stop light at light 30kmhs. The other car, a Nissan altima I think, was hurt really bad, while there was only a slight scratch on the vibe's nose.
Awesome as a first car,. but I'm changing next year for a Vibe GT/Matrix XRS or a Subaru Impreza TS.
Thanks,
G

two words.... crumple zones
the funnest car to be in during a wreck is a (I know that sounds morbid) Volvo. They fall apart on impact for safety reasons. For instance, the motor mounts break and the engine falls slightly, the front seat rear mounts break to reduce whiplash, all dash instruments pop out. Its kinda like the old crash dummy cars... If you are ever in a volvo and have a rear end or front end colision, just pay attention to detail afterwards.
I love volvos ever since i first drove the s60 very well made cars.
The first car I was ever in when someone hit the car was a Volvo, I was about 5 and we were rear ended. That wasn't a very good day to begin with then we got hit, then my dad blew off some steam by going to the batting cages with us... weeeeeee, I remember my childhood vividly.
thats good to know if im ever in a cav heading towards a wall
i would put my money on the wall. do u know what speed that was at ?

I dont understand...........Are you calling me a liar or something? It could very well depend on how the two cars hit, im just saying that my car was stopped and the lady who hit me in the cavalier was going 35MPH and didnt even touch the break....
Yours is a very bad example because when you hit the brakes, the cars front end will lower and obviously if your car runs under anothers, yours will much more extensive damage. In my accident both cars were at normal stance and hit bumper to bumper....cavalier = winner The funny thing is, thats what made me want a cavalier as my next car. Look where i am now
