i was getting sick of having crappy weathered sills on such a nice car so heres a little trick i figured out. hopefully this can help some people and make a few more cavs window sills mint!
step 1: you need dupli color bumper coating. its a flat black coating usually used on trim pieces
heres a look at my crappy 3 year old window sills...
man!!!! those are pretty ugly huh? well heres how you fix that!
step 2: tape off your window sill. also tape off the area around the sill for protection of overspray.
step 3: spray the bumper coating on in thin even coats. i used about five.
step4: now remove the tape and view the results! now the sills look as good as new!
and heres a full shot of the car with all new sills! lookin new again!
by the way, i tested this paint on some door sills two months ago and it has lasted fine. then again my car isnt really driven at all so im not sure how this paint will hold up on a daily driven car. best bet it to just try it. it definately makes a big improvement and for 6 bucks you cant beat it.
lol looks good. fortunatly my car is only 3 years old and doesnt have that problem yet.

Oh thanks man, i got some nasty primer overspray i got on mine a while back that ive been trying to remove. I know it will stick well, the primer i got stuck on mine wouldnt even come off with thinner and a cuetip. Thanks a lot man, makes me happy to know i can get rid of that crappy part about my car.

one thing i think your car could have pulled off as long as you were messin with the window sills... i think you should just carbon fiber the sills... it would just be another small thing that looks awsome and IMO would flow well with your car... but its probly not worth the effort either...
but yeah... awsome idea either way...

Awesome write up! Mine need this so bad, including the back window seal, they look gray. You use any special masking tape? I always manage to get a small amount of paint on the car when doing stupid @!#$ like this, no matter how throuroughly I cover things up. Reason being is I also need to repaint my door handles. It came off easily last time though and was just in a small spot, thank god.
That car is bad as hell!! Love the colors, someone's got an eye for tasteful styling. The only thing I don't like are the canards and the wing, sorry never been a fan. But it looks beautiful!!
