Joe Schultes Type J Project (15 Pics - No 56K)

well after weeks of prep work and paint its finally done. Joe drove up here around 1pm after having some cooling fan troubles and we put his freshly painted type j kit on. It was by far the easiest kit install i have ever done. took just over and hour to install and tweak a few things and looks amazing in person. heres just a few shots i took during the install.

The spray quality looks great on the kit. The side skirts look hot also, but the actual fitment of the kit does not look so good IMO. I am in no way being rude or disrespectful. I just can get my eyes off of the waves in the rear bumper of the fitment of the front bumper. The passenger side has a gap between the bumper and the headlight and the driver side is nice and snug. Also the front bumper is not alinged with the hood. Good luck with the fitment issues! Again I do not mean any disrespect. Take care!

Wow the car looks so different and very hot looking! I love it! Wheels doesnt look like 17's at all, I like them alot.

I like the outer tails idea to go with toyota inners, or they're just stock inners with painted borders? heh.

Still going with a bronze mesh idea? also what mirrors are you getting? My opinion that you should add a tinted plate cover on rear plate.

FIX THE SAG JOE! lol. is mine the only one that never sagged? lol.

NICE! After it is in the sun for a little bit, the waves will be gone. What are you guys talking about when you says SAGS? It CAN NOT SAG, it rest on the same support the stock bumper cover does, it may be wavy, but no way can it SAG lower than stock. Not sure on the front bumper, wonder why it is not as high on the passenger side, however the kit was used, so the other guy could have drill holes in the wrong spots before he got the kit.

i dont know what everyone is talkin about "sags" it may have a few waves but it dosnt "sag" im sure joe will fix it, we didnt really have any other materials to straighten it out at the time. I got a feeling joe was just happey to get it on, it really doesnt look that bad it person... your too busy staring at how hot the rims are with the bronze mesh.
