1995-2002 Single gauge pillar pod
Monday, January 05, 2009 4:21 PM

What options do I have for a single pod for the pillar?
So far I only see Autometer 10205. I am looking around for one that would replace the whole pillar cover, but I only see a adpter style as this pic. Does anyone know of any other makes and that fits good.
Speaking of fitment, do these drill on or do I use double-side tape?

Any help would be apriciated.

A single pod that is a full replacement does not exist for our cars. Usually you drill a couple small hole for these, but might be able to get away with double sided tape. I have always drilled, even the full replacements I use the stock part behind it.

So basically they are all that deep black color then.

So far I've found autometer and the ebay ones. How good are those ebay pods?

I have seen color matched pillar pods, just not for a Jbody. Mustangs use to have (sure they still do).
The ebay pods are usually just as good.

I have an autometer 2 guage pod.
fits perfectly, i drilled the holes and used the plugs that come with the pod.
as far as colour matched, go to a dealer or some body shops can mix the interior colour for you, but it will be expensive.
Or you can get something close or go all black, depending on the colour of your interior. for example, i have a black headliner.

I went with something close, and did both a pillars that colour.

Dont have pictures at the moment because the interior is not installed, but can get some if you would like
