anyone here ever thought about taking the back bench out of their car, and puttin in light weight seats instead? think it would work?(sure would take a lot of weight out)

The two pieces arent that heavy IIRC so I wouldnt bother unless ur lookin to improve looks and comfort

The top peice is actually fairly heavy. Most guys just yank it when going to the track. The bottom is very light. It is nothing more than a chunk of foam. I would only do it if you are into the bucket seat/racing seat style. In the end I am not really sure it would save any weight.

It looks cool as hell tho with bucket seats installed back there.
yea i dont see it helping on weight reduction, those pieces are not that heavy and like wade said just remove the top piece when racing.

hmmm...well, the weight thing was just me trying to find an excuse for doing it, lol...i like the look.
if its what you want to do, why use an excuse...just do it..
got a gf that gets mad when i just waste money...yea..i'm kinda whipped...so, i'll just say it reduces weight(it might by a few ounces, right?
cheaper way is to go to a junk yard and get some front seats and mount them in.
