I'm looking to get cleaner edges on the panel when sanding/painting it instead of using tape.
But alas, a problem.
What did you guys do about the plastic piece holding the whole of the door panels together? (aka. the upholstery to the rest of the panel)
I'm not certain if everybody else's js are like this, but GM decided to melt the clips after installed so there's no way of an easy pop-in pop-out solution.
Did you guys just break the PITAs off? if so how did you repair the panel afterwards...?
I'll take some pics of the panel if I sound like I'm speaking another language.
I assume you mean the area where the window winder is?? I am new to this but I just removed my passenger door and that area is really a pain. I got it all removed with only 1 problem....Removing the whole panel from the door. BTW I got 2005 Sunfire. It was pretty easy I just took my time looking for clips.. In your case with the melted clips, if I had that issue I would break them off and remelt or try to notch them and remove. I am replacing all the areas anyways.

I think I know what ur talkin about but im not sure.
