00 Sunfire digital odometer flickering
Sunday, August 03, 2008 7:23 PM
Hello,

the digital display for my odometer is flickering. If I fiddle around with the trip meter knob it will straighten out for a bit and then return to flickering characters (looks like mostly 1s). Almost seems like a loose connection. Anyone have this before?

Thanks,

lbrowne

Are you able to program the mileage correctly? How can you do that.... legally

Can't see a way to edit previous posts, but I read that on 00+ you can just swap to another cluster because the cluster doesn't store the mileage? If so that should be easy to fix, nothing else I have to swap over?

For the 00+ models mileage is stored in the bcm instead of the cluster, so yes you can swap to any 00+ Jbody cluster.

It's plug and play however, the cluster stores the trip odometer as I just found out. The odometer count is stored in the BCM.
