Dark Headliners....
Thursday, February 21, 2008 3:42 PM
My car is a 01 sunfire gt.... with graphite interior and I have the light tan head liner..... I was at the wreckers today and notice that a 97 sunfire had a dark headliner that matched the interior (however I didn't take it because I would need the sunfire opening etc...) so I'm just wondering what years have the tan headliner and what years have the dark headliners...... also is it possible to dye or paint the head liner?? I checked the FAQ but didn't see anything about painting the headliner or really anything headliner related.... any help would be appreciated!

?? did you mean sunroof opening? I'm not sure what year they started using tan headliners, but I do know that my 97 came with a graphite headliner and my 99 came with a tan one.

I'm not sure about the years....but in my experience all headliners sunfire and cav are interchangeable 95-02 cars....in 03+ the headliner was changed...now if u had an 03+ and wanted the dark headliner u would need to change the a-pillars and the (not sure the name) rear panels beside the seat around quarter windows

shipping it to canada would most likely be a PITA I think I might get the one from the wreckers here .... the only problem I'll have is that the sunroof is completely closed so getting the sunroof slider out might be problematic...
