A 2000+ bezel will not fit, they swapped the radio and HVAC locations for the 2000+. One from a 95-99 will work,
why does it look like you painted it after it was all busted up. just go to the junkyard and grab another one for 10 bucks
well, maybe I should of added more details haha.
it knocked it off the ledge of the retaining wall. And it busted on the asphalt.
And when I came out, he was playing around with the smaller part(below radio).
Is it possibly to switch the HVAC and radio around, without any major mods?

sadly, we don't have any junkyards around here that sell parts.

you have to pretty much change the entore dash to switch the radio and HVAC. try looking on ebay for one

yeah a bezel swap to 2000 up isnt that hard, but for simple in/out install get a 96-99 bezel.
Sorry but:
1. You painted a cracked in pieces garbage bezel, why?
2. You painted it, but did you worry about all the dirt getting blown up from the bricks its sitting on?
Highly doubtfull thats a quality paint job, and the bricks now look equally terrible. (bringing down house value with this mistake? wow.)
I'm all for modding, but when you go about it the wrong way, it ends up looking and functioning bad.
Painted stock interior was cool 10 years ago, before fast and the furious. Now its completely wack. Sorry if this is your style, i dont mean this as a personal attack (I'm just stating the obvious.)
The good news is, you can easily replace it and leave it alone and it will look 100% better.

the radio physically will not fit where the hvac goes on a 95-99 dash, the steel support bar is directly behind it, you can however cut that section out and it will work, but u have to take the entire dash out to get to it, which is hardly 'easy'.
i find it to be very easy. i can have the dash out and back in in an hour. it really isnt that hard.

You have done it WAY to many times. I can do my dash pad and swap out radios in 5 min, but thats not nearly as hard.
the bottom of my dash,gauges,bezel,dashpad are charcoal 2000+ but the piece by the window is from a 98 and its tan. also my pillars, headliner , and vinyl headrests are tan

I'd clean up the bricks, then worry about either gluing the original dash back together, since you don't have any junkyards nearby, or hitting eBay for another one. Then you can get back to life as usual.

I would be wary of cutting ANY support bars in this car, given its already floppy chassis!

ha ha...It looks as if you just yanked it out, without unscrewing the bolts that hold it to the dash.

Josh, I have a bezel for a 98, cause I accidentally bought the wrong one. I need one for a 2001 cavy, with the radio on top, if you can find one, I'll trade with you. The one I have is MINT. I can take some pics if you want.

Like yellow said, just get another from the junker for next to nothing.
Actually the paint came right off the brick without a problem.
And it did not get any dirt on it.
I think it came out good.
Surprisingly enough, it broke just right enough that all the tabs are still attached, and it has no trouble staying on the dash.
As a matter of fact, the way the lower part broke, I can access the CD player without removing the whole bezel/dash.
I'm slowly replacing where I painted the trim around the door to stock, along with the vent on top of the dash.
I know everyone says its tacky, but I like how it looks right now.
The only parts painted blue will be the bezel, lower door panels and the upper center console.
*note* the bezel vents, and dash are used from my friends cavalier till I can get stock parts(he painted them)
