ok so i have searched the FAQ search the Posts and searched all around but i still have yet to find a post that tells how to get the sunroof cover out of a sunfire or cav... i have an 05 sunfire and would like to be able to get this out of my car. i already broke one of the tabs so i might need to end up buying a new one but at the same time it would still help to know how to get the old one out. any help is greatly appreciated...TIA
Open the sunroof to vent mode (one press of the button) Then press it once more and stop it as soon as it is angled up as far as it will go.
Close the cover
From the top of the car you will see four(4) tabs on the cover, press them toward the center of the cover and pull up on the corner that you are pressing the tab on.
Repeat for all four(4) tabs.
Once loose, remove by sliding the cover out through the roof toward the back of the car.
Installation is the above in reverse.
yeah i finally got it out and then realized the tabs were up there... oh and the haynes manual doesnt have anything in it for interior work anyways bradsk88 thanks for the help... i dont suppose you would happen to know if i could just get a replacement tab for the front driver corner tab i kinda snapped it before i got the cover out.
