if its vinyl its garbage......IMO do it right, or dont do it at all

why waste the $ when you'll prolly go back and do it correctly down the road

Crappy tire sells it; however it doesnt look real at all. The more realistic looking wrap is expensive as buying actual carbon peices. From what i seen it appear to stick to the dash similar to window tint.

I am re-wrapping my interior pieces in my cavalier with the carbon fiber vinyl.....if that's what your talking about...it has a fabric backing just like other vinyls (cloth like) if you would like to see some pics pm me! And no it's not stickers and does look like real CF.

I know what you are talkin' about, but it looks like a joke to me. It is just something eles that is weaved like CF that is gray and black. I would laugh if I saw it someones car. Do it right or don't do it all...

so your telling me that since I don't know how to do carbon fiber nor have anyone near me to do it....I shouldn't do it! we have a shop where I live that has been putting the cf vinyl in hot rods, sport compacts, trucks and so on.....Yes, I am not using real Carbon Fiber for my interior, but I have shown 5 people the interior pieces and they thought it was the real stuff....then I told them it was vinyl. But if you have scene it in person and don't like it....cool then, but to tell people that it's not the correct way to go about doing it.....even if they don't have the money to pay someone to do a full cf interior for them...is not cool.

I am not trying to be mean about anything, I am just tired of people asking for some help and getting answers like "Do it right or don't do it all..." Well who ever said that it was the right way to begin with!

your going to have people that like it and your going to have those of us that say do it the proper way or forget it.

were not saying if you dont know how to do carbon fiber dont do it. were suggestion you learn or have someone do it for you. vinyl wrapped carbon fiber doesnt fool anyone who knows anything about carbon fiber and to people that know carbon fiber it just looks cheap. if you think it looks fine go right ahead and cover your whole car in it if you wish. but those of us who know will still think it looks bad. ive seen allot of shops do things to cars that are to many bad taste. ive seen 100,00 show cars with a 100$ jenson radio. that to me is cheap. its just our opinions and were allowed to have opinions just as you are allowed to have your own.

I totally understand.....I just want a like accented in the interior, which does look nice.....and I do have real carbon fiber eyelids, trunk lid, splitters, fuel door, b-pillars, so I do understand where it looks fake, but again I wanted a little carbon to replace what I had in suede....like my seats......it I was going to do CF like I am doing my interior in fiberglass and painting it, then yes I would scout someone out to use the real stuff....but to do headliners, and seat, and my a and b-pillars (interior) seem to work...

bodywerx: I'll have pics up Friday night of some of the pieces.

Since getting carbon in bulk is so hard, I have had to turn to CF Vinyl on some of my projects in mind for my bike and my car. From what ive seen for choices most look like sh!t, but I have came along a few that from what ive seen are the best bet for having it look "real"

Choice 1

Choice 2 (one im leaning towards)
