couple of questions regarding z24 door panels in a 97 cav.
the top part feels plastic but in some parts it feels some wut vinyl padded, which one is it? can i sand and paint it? or do i have to do that vinyl dye stuff
second Q is, the carpet on the panel i want to wrap it in a red vinyl, but keep that stock shape, but still have it pulled tight,
tips and suggestions on doing that, anything really!, thanks!!
for the carpet replacement try a spray on adhesive
Top panel is padded, you don't want to paint that because it won't come out right, jsut like if you painted the dash pad. Dye would work best for that.
For the carpet, like Derek suggested, a spray adhesive would work best. A good upholstry contact adhesive will hold the vinyl so you can smooth it out and stretch it tight so it conforms to the shape. Just take your time with it and you'll do fine.
Dude what is with you and spelling what wut all the time. Did you not know how to spell what, or is it just your form of internet ebonics. Anyway I was going to answer your questions but eveyone beat me to it. The guy above me is right if you want to paint door panels, get the 00+ since they are all plastic.
