racing seats fading? what to do?

Yeah one of my racing seats is fading pretty bad, the passenger side

its black too so now its turning brown

anyone know what I can do to bring the black back?

or am I SOL?

re-dye the seat , and get tinted windows and a sun screen for the windshield

I have tinted windows, just got a sun-screen a little too late though

re-dye you say? like fabric dye or something? I'll have to go look around Walmart or somethin

Duplicolor makes a good fabric dye...i used it for my headliner and its still holding up after 2 years.

What brand are these seats? Maybe your pain could help steer someone else away from them...

they're the Tenzo R Rally Seats. Black/Grey style

I got them in a GP back in 03 so they've lasted a while in the sun
and I've had the Tinted windows then too

I think its the front windshield that got'em
the driver seat is fine, i think the steering wheel & console blocked alot of the sun

but I never put any protectant on them like scotchbrite or anything
maybe I should've...

I'll try that Duplicolor stuff. Maybe they got it @ Kragen

you coulda always get the windshield tinted too , lol

but yeah a fabric dye , not sure if youll get the 2 seats to match , but it should be alot closer than black and faded


but next set would be recovering , or getting a new seat
