Hey guys, I am so glad forums liek this exsist. Thanks to all that post here and include pics. It was soooo much easier to start modding with the help. Agian thanks.

Anyways the reason I am adding this topic is so all of you can see the progress on my ride. I just bought it not too long ago and finally will have some extra time and money to do some things to it.

I am starting off small by doing the iner door panels and painting some of the interior parts grills etc. Will do headliner soon. I am going with White and black theme. Picked up some white vinyl yesterday and got started today on it.

Heres a pic.

I just mounted it temp to make sure would fit. Gotta find a way to work out those few wrinkles. Just so you all know I have never worked ona car before except oil changes and minor things like air filter etc.

I will keep you all updated ( if ya care LOL ) Just again so gald there are fourms liek this out there. Props to the moderators

hopfully someone can answer this my tomrrow and give me a pointer or two before I go an rip my hole dash pad off.

I am going to do this to take the round vents from the 03 Sunfire. I tried to get them out with a screwdriver but I am affraid of really screwing them up. I searched google and the threads here for the last 30 mins.

These seem to be placed inside of a track. I am picturing hem a round ball with two pegs on either side mounted into another ring with a groove in it.???

If someone could let me know by e-mail or on here in this thread.

Thanks again guys. This site has been awesome.

Take the top dash off, really easy.
The vents clip in from the back side. You'll see when you take it off.
If you need pics, let me know cause i have a dash sittin in the basement.

You should do the fuzzy stuff on the door white too, I think it would look better if it was just suade and plastic, instead of suade, plastic, and some fuzzy stuff.

Thanks for the 02 cents zook. I was thinking of changing the carpet as well but too much white and also with winter months here in ottawa can get REALLY DIRTY.

Got all the vents off OK. no need to remove the pad ( thank god) got the first 2 coats of white on them now. Also got the steering wheel houseing off too. Brok the tilt arm but whatever I set it and leave it.

Thanks for all your guy's help so far.

Got the doors in today and they look awesome. Called GM and they want only 6$ for the same grills for the speakers so I am going to pick some up and do them white as well and mount them in the back when I get the 3rd and 4th door speaker.

Will send pics tomoorrow when all installed and done.

I'm glad you got um out but I have no idea how you got them out the front, lol.
In all actuality, the top dash is super easy to take off, just for future reference.

Hey seth well that no prob. All I did was put a flathead in between the pad and the vent and released on of the tabs and volla popped out no problem. Maybe I will do a tutorial for those 03 owners.

Heres the finished product. Its not GREAT but need to touch the vents a little. They got a little scratched when putting them back together.

Hope you all like it. I also did the clear HVAC knobs but I used a dremel and scratched them up a bit to look frosted.

sorry forgot to ask if anyone has pics on how the HVAC/stereo pad comes off. Just the bezel infront of the stereo.

Also would I use vinyl paint on it or would lrylon platics fusion work?

Thanks

looks good mang. I like the white most don't but everyone does red/blue/yellow and black. Wanted to do something a lot of people have not done.

UPDATE, got the handle off the glovebox and got the bezel off from around the stereo. Gotta pick up some Vinyl paint tomorrow and do it.

Any suggestions on HOW TO though. Or just follow the cans instructions?

Thanks again guys.

Yeah the white is just really hard to keep clean so most people stay away from it. As far as paint, it doesnt really matter what kind of paint you use on plastic. Just make sure you prep it good.

I got a lot of white (well it's whiteish grey but close enough) Best cleaner for it is 3m adhesive remover. It takes all the dirt off and so far after a couple years use it doesn't harm a damn thing either, just a tip.

cool man. thanks. It looks so nice. I had a lot of compliments on it today. I need to use a brush and touch up some spots but ohh well.

BTW sorry my bexel doesn;t have padding on it. I am a dumb ass.

Got the bezel out and am painting it tomorrow. going to do a really good clean on it.
