Well, I got it glassed and some bondo put on. I've been sanding for the last couple of hours.
More sanding.
I've gotta get it taken down to 600 grit, then put on some glaze putty on the whole thing.
This is my bezel, I recently sanded it back down. Filler primer will be next unless I find any gouges or so on. I plan on putting my screen there (obviously) and moving the cd player someplace...there's another thread about that if you wanna help me decide where to put it.
Woooo bubbies.
that is how to do your console lid the hard way lol you could have just taken the vynal off sanded and primed took me all of about an hour
^^^^^ there were holes all over mine so just peeling and sanding was a no go on mine.
weird my buddies cav and my fire had no holes my mistake if you had holes
Yeah, mine had the holes underneath the vinyl also. Plus, I wanted the real fiberglass look. I'll get some pictures up when these two projects are finished.
Woooo bubbies.

looks like your doing an okay job but for that just some filler in the holes and sanded smooth would have been fine. thats how i did mine and its going on 4 years without an issue, and u dont need fiberglass for the smooth look, just a smooth surface to paint is all you need.
I thought about doing that, but it didn't have a lot of mass without the vinyl. I wanted to thicken it up and some weight to it. Makes for a better result in my opinion. Anyway, I'll get some more pictures up soon.
