I been reading and searching about it and I don't seem to understand what to do. My driver side window won't roll up and its stuck halfway down. I took it apart and tried pushing it up but it seems like its stuck. I think the motor still works because each time I press it to go up it, makes a loud GRINDING noise like its not connected to the window or something..

I can't seem to take out that window motor because the 2 bolts are like stuck. Is it possible to just close the window temporarly? I have no idea what to do and don't think the door can be split in half.. I'm also wondering if I should take it to a shop but does anyone know how much im going to spend?

i did a power window upgrade as my car didn't come with power windows, sounds like the motor isn't catching and came off the drive nut, shop will charge a different price any where you go, depending on a used motor or new and a million other things, should be easy to fix, mine was a biaaaaaatch because the doors are dynamatted and lambo'd!! any question let me know as i replaced the window last week too!

The nylon gears inside the motor get trashed and then you end up in the state you're in. The gear that moves the regulator is seized solidly in place so you can't move the window up or down and the motor does nothing.

You have to replace the motor.
