Im finishing up a project on my center console, Ive got it sanded down well enough that i can apply some filler to get those small grooves etc... What product do you all recommend for this process? Thank you.

Probably a non-bondo brand lightwieght body filler, then top it off with some glaze.

Thats what glaze is for, its a super thin coat of hardening filler that you spread over the top for tiny pin holes and sanding marks.

Where would I find this glaze? What brand should I look for?

I just use spotting putty. There are several good brands and even autozone carries it.

if I'm not mistaking you can acutally mix a little bit of fiber glass resin with bondo and make glaze. Almost positive you can never did it though I just bought glaze

you can do that but that requires mixing and applying and waiting for the fiberglass to cure. with glazing putty you just unscrew the lid, squirts some on and smear it around with your fingers, wait 10 minutes and sand it smooth. way nicer then using filler.

for a good finishing filler before you get to the glazing putty i use rage gold, its thinner and is easy to smooth out and will leave less pinholes. also watch how you mix your filler up. mixing more air into your filler will cause more pinholes when it dries.
