When FGing Interior, Do you Just FG Over It?

I am really confused about fiberglassing interior pieces, do you just fiberglass right over say the door panels and maybe dash pad? Then sand it down? How thick is it? I was wondering how you would do stuff that needs to fit tight like the radio bezzel.

Just wondering because I would like to FG my interior in the future.

Well Ive done tons of FB interiors and Ill tell you first theres no "right" way. BUt I have found the best way that works for me Is Ill just take a 40 grit disk and grind off all the edges of vynal where it contacts other body panels(door panels radio bezel, ect) so that when galssing over it it will come back to the original size and not to big.

Then on all the flat panels Just glass over them I use 6-8 lyers usualy 3 cloth 3 mat 2 cloth, alot of people cut theres up but ive learned flat panels come out WAY better with solid peices, I use many small pieces of indentions and sharp curves.

Hope that helps!
