those with painted interiors

hey sup people,
I've had my interior painted for months now but.. I'm having issues with scuffs particularly the door panels and such..And they wont come off fully i.e. still light black marks (its painted white) I even used 4-6 coats of clear on the areas with most use.. Any one got this problem? and how did you fix it? I'm currently as we speak rippin apart my interior and sanding it all down again (its a beotch!) but i want it perfect.. if all else fails Ill use auto paints and clears but I'd rather go this route.
As a side note for those who used auto paints how much did a paint shop shoot them for? justa rough estimate I know allot of it will deal with who you know, live, etc etc.. just curious is all

p.s what sand paper types/brands did yall use to sand? I used this really good paper when I first did it but now I cant recall the name or look of it when I go to the store.

Mike Jones..... Who? <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=hand%20puppet" onmouseover="window.status='hand puppet'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">hand puppet</a>.. play with it enough it will make you go crazy.

If you used that much clear coat, you could most likely just sand the area lightly with 1500 grit sandpaper and work your way up to 2000, then use a finish restorer or some kind of compound to get the fog out of the clear. No need to sand the piece completely and start from scratch. Good luck.

thast what i was going to say, but having a shop spray it should give you a bit more durability then the rattle can method. and white is the hardest color to keep clean, good luck with that.
