help with rear seatbelt removal
Tuesday, July 19, 2005 3:32 PM
i am trying to get some seatbelts from the junkyard, and i cannot get the flippin back seatbelts out. i have star sockets...but maybe i'm not using the right size..it seems like i try one and it has some movement, and it ends ups stripping the bolt, then i try another, but its too big...and so i dont know how to get them off....it seems like the front seatbelts and the back seatbelts use different size star sockets...what size is the right size?

and these suckers are on tight, how can i help loosen them..i really dont want the rachet to slip and i have to go get a tetnis shot bc i ripped my hands open at a junkyard. i am just using a regular rachet...so any help for me would be great. thanks

torx 50 i believe, take some lubricant with u to loosen the bolts and use some elbow grease, thats about all i can tell you. or if u want i dont have any rear seats anymore i'll sell u my belts for 40 bucks + shipping.

Get a slid head Breaker bar, to give you leverage, and use some PB penetrator or liquid Wrench.
