wasnt sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.....

anyone know how to hook up the trunk release cord to the latch. i had to get a new latch for the new cav, and now i need to connect the pull lever system to the new latch, and for some reason, i cant figure it out just looking at it. anyone got ideas?

oh ya, its the old latch without the trunk safety opener on it

any help is appreciated.

It's hard to explain, but.....

First you have to open the little flap. It just opens, and is pretty much only there to kind of cover everything up. The cable attaches very similar, like one of the ball necklaces attach, or like the little keychain things you get from shoes. The end pieces fits in where the flap opens up, and then then push the cable down into the little groove and it will snap in.

I have one waiting to install too, just haven't got around to it.
