painting guage cluster - Interior Forum

painting guage cluster

i have searched no answers i painted some interior parts
today and i wanted to paint the cluster
so i took it out of the dash and found out that it is one peice cuold i put it in the oven
or use a heat gun to seperate the 2 peices

what do you mean its one piece? the clear plastic and the actual guage part is one piece? incorrect there should be small screws holding it onto the guage part... and what do you mean by painting the cluster?

are you gonna paint the trim piece around the cluster?

are you gonna paint the needles?


are you gonna paint the clear plastic piece?

are you gonna paint the guages?


a little more info would help people help you

its pretty easy

just unscrew the screws and take the plastic clear plastic off of the guages and then the little trim piece around the guages will come right off...

this is an old pic but you get the idea

See the four screws in the front (two on top two on bottom), remove those and the clear plastic peice comes off then, you can remove the trim itself to paint. The screws are the torx head kinds just like what you used to remove your dash.

I was thinking the same thing, lol

You guys have a lot if interesting ideas to do to these Cavaliers.
