Well I finally found a decent wheel out of a 94 cav in junkyard that upon later research I discovered was actually an 89 style wheel which I like better any way so..win. Im going to for worn anyone who wants to do this it is A PAIN IN THE A** without a steering wheel puller kit. Cool side note is you can buy one for 20 bucks at autozone, get the job done and then just return it after so basicly free rental. You CAN use a hammer but you WILL most likely destroy your steering wheel nut or the actual spline itself, the metal there made out of is very weak trust me this is how I got the wheel out of the junker and its spline is toast.
If anyone has any questions or is seriously interested I will post a basic how to. Im sure someone has already done this but you might want a newer post on the subject. I think it is a very clean and tasteful upgrade to the interior of our cars and seeing as how the wheel cost me 10 dollars id say its helluh worth it. Just remember to not get discouraged finding one, my area is pretty anti cavalier exspecially 89 to 94 models ( I literally found two in 3 junkyards over the span of 2 months) so just keep looking, they are on ebay occasionally. Will post pics after I resize them.
Appreciate it I think it's def one of the best low cost options for our cars. Suprisingly comfortable to.
When the hell did wearing your sisters pants to school become cool....
I love that and would rock that all day long
could you make a how to because I haven't had luck with figuring out horn hook up. I don't know if you use oem clock spring or what. I have a 98 rs cavi and a early 90s lumina wheel I want to put on.
Looks good but the new well i should say older wheel looks bigger? Just curious, what's involved to removing the wheel from the 02?
