Yesterday i turned on my car and switched my headlights on but they wouldn't turn on. Only my parking and tail lights would come on.. My daytime running lights do come on when I put it in gear and my high beams come on if I hold the switch, but otherwise those won't work either. I have an 02 cavalier. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

most likly the headlight switch itself, loss of low beams is common.

Yeah, I've had this problem and accidentally thought it was the DRL relay, replaced it and was not the problem. It was in fact the headlight switch itself as after I replaced it, headlights worked immediately. You're looking at $30-$70 for the part new price, make sure you specify with or without cruise control, I got mine a couple years ago at auto-zone for like $60, but I just checked rockauto.com and they have it cheaper but you'll have to wait for shipping time to your house.

check the ground under the battery tray and check the headlight harness plug. I had this happen recently, and my plug was not seated properly.
