There is so many threads about replacing the HVAC bulbs with leds. I couldn't find the answer I am looking for.
I purchased color replacement #74 bulbs (T5) off ebay. Can I simply remove and replace those bulbs?

dont see why not, a bulb is a bulb, LED or incandescant
If they come with a base then they'll just twist off and twist on. If they didn't then you'll either have to get the original bulbs out of the bases (takes a skilled hand) or buy new bases from the "help!" section at your auto parts store.
I was wondering how they came out, mine would not pull out so now that I know they twist I will take mine apart again.

twist them out of the hvac, and hold the base with the pliers then rag around the bulb and pliers to yank it out. and push the new one in, twist it back in to the hvac. done.
