Ok I know I saw someone who did this but I got a set off a 99 Sunfire and welp they don't line up at all. I remember seeing a post recently of someone that did this but I can't find the post.
Any insight would be great but I am thinkin I gotta get the hinges off a cavalier maybe instead of a sunfire.
no, sunfire or cav, dosen't make a diff. neither one will bolt on period, you would need to get creative, welding a plate in is most likely needed.
not worth it imo
Well dang. Thanks for the insight.
i own a vert and would rather not have them lol
LOL. Well I just thought that it would help with holding the trunk lid open better since I got this heavy Toyota Cavalier spoiler. Oh well tho maybe I can come up with something else. Doesn't bother me too much since its always closed LOL.
are we talkin about the trunk hinges?
yeah he is azn, dustin just readjust your torsion bars for the spoiler. there should be 3 notched you can slide the ends into.
OK I saw that and actually tried once to adjust them but I failed. Those things are hard to adjust. Or maybe it was just me. Is there a trick to it?
They are dangerous be careful. They cant wing off and slice you up.
use a handle from a jack.

Very true. I found this out the hard way. Ended up going to the ER to have a huge chunk of my thumb stitched back on. Sucked big time.

Yep, just slide the open end over one end of the tension bar and carefully move it up or down. Than do the other side the same way. Do it very slowly and stand back as far as possible. Those things have so much tension in them, they will snap back and hit you before you even know what happened.
