I need to replace a cluster in a 2002 Cav 2.2 OHV 5-speed. I purchased a cluster and I need to know if it is plug & play and if the mileage needs to be reprogrammed or if it is stored in the BCM and not the speedo?

All 2000+ clusters are plug and play and the mileage is stored in the BCM.

I'm looking to replace the lights behind my cluster with brighter LED's of a different color. How would I go about that? I know how to take off the panels... but isn't the cluster closed of? Or am I remembering that wrong? It's been a while since I last tore it apart.
