yeah, i was on the live now chat with JC Whitney online, and they were telling me that they did not have the brackets blah blah blah and i was still looking for sliders...
well they gave me the number for Wedge Engineering in CA, and wow... if it is as good as i think im gonna flip my sh$#.... i almost payed GRavana Tuning 225 or so after shipping for their custom made brackets (that are quite excellent as ive heard if anyone is thinking about using them)
but yeah, 241 after shipping (from CA to GA) seat brackets and sliders for my Tenzo R reclining race seats.
check out their site...
give them a call and just find out what they can do for you though for real
i will post back on here in 2-3 weeks when i get them...
with about 6 hours of work and $35 worth of materials you could have achieved the same outcome.
but hey man, if you want to spend $241 on seat brackets good for you

somebody should start making these brackets for ppl, on-demand type of deal.

that would be tough to do based on the fact most/all seats have different mounting dimensions and different sliders.

exactly, and its 241 for brackets and sliders... look it up first before you post things like that...
avg bracket per seat 60 bucks x2 = 120
avg slider per seat 40 bucks x2 =80
total is 200
plus shipping 20-40 depending where you live.
so come on man... dont just post if you dont know what your talking about.
and these are track rated brackets, just like the ones offered by GRavanaTuning.com they are safe and sturdy.
again, ill post when i get then with lots of pics!!!
thanks guys

Sorry dude, but you still got ripped off. That's an insane price for something you should be able to make. it's really not hard.
"The inmates are running the Asylum"
i still stand by my original post., and i did look it up
lol dude you get way too defensive, as we have seen in your other posts.
for about 35 bucks i made SLIDERS and BRACKETS and it took me about 6 hours.
Lol im not being defensive bro, im tellin you the facts... and those would be that A) make sliders? how? B) anything you are making is not track rated as ive said over and over...C) im not looking to just put the seats in, im looking to do it right.
what is the point in buying a nice racing seat if the safety features go out the window because you "made brackets"??? there is no point. as for why i got them anyways, i wanted both form and function. if you only wish for the first then making your own is a great solution, but saying "you got ripped off" come on dude, i gave you the specs and prices already. so seriously look things up first, but you did make me laugh a bit... so w/e
you might want to go tell everyone that previously used the brackets from GravanaTuning they got ripped off.. i got that off the org dude... seriously you shame this site with ignorance because if you really looked it up your post would not have occurred.
for on the real, dust in the wind, just wanted that out there.
you cavi looks sweet too man... are those stock tails? cause they look a bit smoked???
While I agree that some of the home-made brackets can be dodgey and a safety concern, I'm a bit amused that "track rated" should even become an issue when the primary feature of most of these mounts is that they bolt directly to the four probably-rusting factory floor studs of an econobox.
In any case, I've been quite happy with the brackets I
fabbed from
1/4" alumimum plate. They cost about $100 in supplies.

well its not that they ARE track rated, its that you know you have excelent quality stuff. and like i said, if you can make them well... if you have the know how... go for it. i just dont think i even have the equipment to do so well. and im quite picky about what goes inside my car.
sounds like you made some quite nice brackets though geeky, love the wheels on your car!
FYI
Track rated seat brackets usually DONT have sliders because you would have no reason to move the seats up and back if your car was for the track...
And yes they are stock tails, not on my car anymore but i used VHT Nightshades on them a while back. Search the org for more info, but im sure you can get it from any performance shop in your area. just be careful how dark you go because the police do get a little edgy.
IMO your ugly altezzas might look good if you nightshade them.
Try it out, for 7 bucks a can you cant go wrong.
DO IT RIGHT as you seem to want to do with your car and take the tails off and spray them all lightly at the same time, to avoid a darker lense on one side...
bought the car with altezzas... i wouldnt have picked them... so i have been lookin for ways to tweek them...thanks mucho!

lol, my paint job is probably worth more than everything you have done to your car dude. The only one shaming this site is you and getting so defensive for over paying on something you could have built.
But whatever gets you thru your day.

please start reading the posts before commenting Jo3y, other than giving me a good laugh your really starting to look ignorant on this subject that i have been involved with for a while now. i quoted how much these things cost already, so for BUYING them, it is a great deal comparatively and especially for it being hard to find them for my seats. this post has already gone over the fact that yes you can make them if that is what you want in your car and is what your going for. so stop being an idiot and read dude...lol. dont mistake my sounding defensive for just being annoyed at retards like you that cant read. ripped off would be over paying, good thing i didnt idiot. look it up or shut up.

nice effort trying to throw down the shame word but your making a joke out of yourself dude.
i put this post up to help people that dont want to make brackets, duh. so nice job contributing with nothing but negative comments Joey with a 3 for an e. your almost 30 and you seem to be stuck in teen mental mode. grow up and leave it alone if you dont know about the matter at hand.
and how is a paint job being worth more than my car impressive? what a waste of money dude... you got ripped off... you could have that done for so much cheaper yourself.
meh, you still got ripped off. And i'll take your text book of posts to mean you really are butt hurt about it. But don't worry, they're track rated and you did your research!!!!
"The inmates are running the Asylum"
im stoaked to be getting great stuff... hence why i put "and not make them" in the FIRST post. lol, you must of missed that huh? yeah thought so....

alright.
hmmm.
Fox, you really should do YOUR research before you come on here and say the @!#$ you say to the people you are saying it to.
Do you know why Joeys paint job is more than your whole car?
its not a stock 2200 with a body kit. its a custom car with a lot of work and time into it.
and lets be honest here, your not helping anyone because, well, other than you, im sure no one would pay over 200 bucks for seat brackets?!?!
So that being said, im not slagging your car because my cavalier is just a 2.2 with a body kit but you should really just learn to accept the constructive criticism
Its people like YOU that make these forums the way they are because YOU cannot take constructive criticism and then turn into the computer tough guy who slags anyone who comments on your post.
i dont know what you are trying to prove, but you should either accept the criticism given by people like Joey or just stop posting on these forums all together.
jackson your an idiot... there is NO criticism there... and i guess that makes YOU AND HIM the dumb ass here.. do you want me to forward you the PMs i have gotten on the subject retard? lol
so as it seems.... your sitting at your computer knowing about NOTHING on this subject. seriously dude...get a clue. I DONT GIVE A FLY f#$$ WHAT JO3Y DOES WITH HIS CAR WERE TALKING ABOUT SEAT BRACKETS AND SLIDERS did you miss that point??? get out of high school and then talk to me... (but really dont... your annoying as hell with your ignorance)
the count is up to 4 people... that are interested in these brackets... and oh, guess what... they already knew about the gravana tuning ones and almost got those...
IF IT DOES NOT CONCERN YOU, SO WHAT... BUT OTHER PEOPLE APPRECIATE THE INFORMATION... Jesus you need to get off this site all together (jackson) and if you cant take that criticism then...well....yeah...
I'm going to start this post with a little hip hop ditty.
It's your boy WHAT Lan WHAT Man WHAT.
Now that that's out of the way, I just made a set of brackets for my car this weekend. With bolting it, it would have set me back a whopping 40 dollars. They fit my new seats perfect. I welded all the pieces on except the sliders to the bracket. I could have bolted it, but I was able to borrow a welder. I made the brackets solid. I'm not risking my balls and my life for something generic. It doesn't matter if I take it on the track or if I'm out on the streets. If I'm in an accident, my brackets aren't going to buckle or break.
I'm sorry if you're butt-hurt that you spent 300 dollars on brackets and sliders.

who are you? and i didnt spend 300... learn to read, 241 total. and i didnt have much of a choice, other than i would rather buy them i dont have working sliders on the seats i have in my car... so i would have to buy those regardless. but wow, thanks for being such a douche bag. if you wouldve read the post up top you would have known that i already said if you can make them... good for you. thats fantastic! but like i said IN THE FIRST POST not for me, dont have the equipment or know how to do it well. but nice job making quality ones on yours im sure.
