Tuesday, February 17, 2009 9:56 PM
i'm looking at a set of 19s. they are 19x8.5 +35mm offset. would these rub?

tire size will probably be 225/35 unless another size will fit better.

thanks

I just bought a set to the exact same specs, Tire searching now. 235/35/19 sounds about right.

it will more than likely rub. someone on here a while back had the same width and offset and the wheels stuck outside the fenders a bit. im sure being lowered it will hit. you will have to roll the fenders a good amount.

Well so far I have rolled the Front Fender lips and "Pulled" The fenders about a 1/2" Im pretty sure I have the Clearance I need, But I will know when they get here sometime next week. As for the Rear, I will Roll in the Lips, and o from there. If I still need more I will probably Flore them a little.

i got 19x8.5 with 225 35 19`s and ground control coils, i only rub a bit on the inner fender liners on the inside at full lock....but i just looked and can`t fined the offset on the rim, so i guess i`m no help lol

I have a set of 19x8 with a 35mm offset, when I was running 235/35/19's I rubbed in the back every bump I hit, don't have a whole lot of clearance up front but no real rubbing issues. I'm lowered on the Koni Sport kit. We had to beat in the lip on the rears and it still rubbed. It was fine once I got a 225 series tire. With the 19x8.5 you are going to have more issues in the rear and up front, and the rear quarters are not something that can easily be rolled.

Im gonna Steal your Rims Gary! Was looking at them a while back! Got a good deal on the set I just bought though

What Brand and model were they? Ill look up the offset.

Im going with a Roll and Maybe slight Flare in the rear, Im 99% im clear in the front.

215/35/19 is my best bet as far as tires....Now just to get a set for under 450$$$

Looks like your rolling on a 19x8.5 +38 ....VERY close to the rim in Question (19x8.5 +35) Yours sit about 3mm Further in on the car.

After doing a few measurements it looks like a 19x8.5 +35 WILL NOT FIT in the rear on my cvar because of my BIG ASS AIM air cylinders!

So... New rims? NO! New rear air suspension!

Why does it cost SOOO much to put rims on my car! lol... New tires, roll fenders, Lugs, New Suspension...What next?!?!

I will have them friday to confirm!

19x8 35mm offset
215/35/19
Easystreet Sleeve Bags

8.5 will Be FARTHER intowards the Center of the car, so it will be close, but with a Skinny tire you can do it. I would look for a 7.5-8" wide wheel. 8.5" wide will be a VERY CLOSE call, also 225/35 will RUB LIKE HELL.

These were my BEAUTIFUL 225/35/19 KDWs that got chewed up from the fenders. Nice waste of a thousand dollar set of tires with 95% of the tread left.

235/35/19 + AIR RIDE = NO WAY IN HELL! In the pic below I have 235/3519's on the Red car and 215/35/19's on the blue one. The tires on the red car you can see stick out past the fender, on a 8.5" wheel, HELL NO. They would rub on every bump and turn.

Good luck finding what you need.

Well my 19x8.5 +35 Should come in Friday afternoon via fedex. As soon as I get a chance after work Ill Mount them up and see how they clear. Im 99% sure they will not clear my AIM cylinders in the back. I'm going to do a setup similar to ESB's old cav.

Shes right. We tried rolling mine and went with stretching them out instead. Creates ALOT of body work on the rear quarters to get them straight again
