Well, i bought a set of cheap 17's mostly just for the tires on them ($500 the whole set with brand new tires mounted), and i thought the wheels weren't that bad, but I've grown really tired of the stupid polished face on them, and i was wondering if anyone has had experience or tips with using Duplicolor wheel paint on polished aluminum as i want to just cheaply repaint them black
( they are the rims in my sig)
Thanks a million for any insight
You might try to sell those off w/o tires and just get a different set. You will have to sand them down and then paint. The back of the can tells you how to do it. Make sure to do a lot of prep work cause that is the major part of it.
i think they look awesome how they are... just my opinion thought
You just have to rough up the face with sand paper and then paint them.
Here is a writeup I did on the duplicolor.
