Is it true that you need to trim your axle bolt down to fit aftermarket wheels??? i am getting some mr7's and i would like to put the cap on but i heard you need to grind down that bolt... i havent got the wheels yet but i would like to know if this is true... i dont have a grinder so this will be a problem.

lots of people have mr7s i cant imagine you need to grind down the axle, frankly i wouldnt recomend it either

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

depending on the style and offset of the wheel, the the front bolt sticks out some and might not let u put the centercap on. only solution is to cut/grind the bolt some.

you do NEED hub rings. metal ones can rust, making it difficult to remove the wheel. plastic ones are available, and are what i would use.

there are many different sizes of bores. im not sure what motegi uses, but you do need to get the EXACT size. i think summit might have the wrong bore listed on there. also, there are gorilla hub rings on summit, so there's another place you can buy them from (although, they might have to be custom order and you'll have to use gorilla's website to find the part numbers). but i'll tell you right now that 16" aftermarket rims aren't worth buying (go at least 17"), and motegi mr7's are SOOOOOOOOOOOO outplayed that you're gonna get a lot of ugly looks for them, and once you see that even grandma's drive on mr7's or look alikes, you're gonna regret buying them.

Very rarely I have run into a situation where the center cap will not go on all the way because of the axle. It required a couple of millimeters ground off the tip of the shaft. If a lot is required, don't do it.

As for hub rings, I'd get them from discounttiredirect.com. They are anodized aluminum. They won't rust on you, and they are stronger than the plastic ones. You should be able to call them with your bore sizes and they'll match them up for you. There is also another wheel place online that I can't remember right now, but they actually list all of their rings on their site in a chart (inner bore and outter bore).

Well with this crap of a winter we're having, I can see why people wouldn't give a crap about what they're driving. I need to move south.

I'd just pick up a set at a local store. I seem to see the McGard the most in stores. They're usually like $8-10 per set of 5, or like $50 for a set of 16 plus 4 locks.
