Seems i don't know my own strength. between myself and the air gun, I shattered the tuner lug adapter key. Are these standard? and where can you get replacements?
the nuts are the splined tuner style

Depends.. are your lugs spline? If so, yeah. Go to your nearest auto store and find one. You may have to buy the whole kit though.

Go to Discount Tire and see if the one they have fits. They can sell you just a key if you like, and to be honest most of them will just give you one to make you come to them from now on.

Never use an air gun on those things, this is why.

You can always use one, but you got to make sure that you have it on all the way. That is the only way that I've ever seen them mess up. Having the gun set to high also does it, but most people know not to turn up everything all the way.

Even with it on there all the way, the power of the air gun could still put stress on the key. What I do, is start them on by hand, use the gun to run it down far enough to seat them, and then run them down by hand.

When breaking them loose, I get out a break over bar and socket. I refuse to use an air gun on them.

Damn no edit feature, I tighten them by hand.

Well when I would put them on we would just use the socket and toruqe stick to run them down by hand, then use the gun with the toruqe on, then again toruqe them with a wrench after that to the right settting.

The torque stick on the gun is fine and all, but the impacting of the gun could put alot of stress on the key itself, causing it to stretch out a little, and then eventually it would get too far stretched out and probably shatter.

Maybe I'm a little too paranoid, but alot of times the grooves inside of the key don't look thick enough to be able to handle the power of an air gun very many times.

Well it never is bad to be paranoid about stuff like that, but only real reason I use a gun still if I can is cause you are less likely to drop the key with a gun cause you are pushing in on it not to drop it. I've seen to many times people doing it by hand drop the lug key and mess up wheels. So no problems taking your time doing it. BTW I have about 6-7 keys to insure I don't use a messed up one later on...

Yeah, I have seen people drop the key and hit the wheel before.. luckily it put a very tiny little scratch in it. Just have to be extra careful. That's the thing that sucks about nice wheels though, you try your hardest to be careful, and something small will happen. lol

Hell, I've seen a guy using an impact on a factory aluminum wheel, something happened while he was tightening the nuts and the stick slid off while the gun was spinning, and it caused enough force to go straight into the wheel and all over it before he could let go of the trigger.. it happened FAST.

That wheel was scratched to hell.. not a good deal.

Sadly, I don't have any extra keys. We have some in the office, but none of them are for the tuner style lugs.
