I went onto Wild Weasel's site and looked already at his howto pictures, are my hubrings seating right? when i called the manufacturer they told me it was a 70mm bore size so thats what i got, 70mm OD and 57.1 ID but they dont sit flush with the back of the rim, they sit in bout 1/4" or so past that slant.. If someone wants more pics of the hubring and bore of how it is and all ill take more pics but is this how they are supposed to seat in the rim?
sorry for big pic
its kinda hard to tell from that pic
It doesn't matter if it insets into the wheel a little bit, the only thing that ring is for is to center it on the hub. Looks like it should be fine.

alright thanks, it doesnt really "snap" in those but i guess i can try to use em see what happens. waiting for a reply on sumthing to see if ill get some that actually fit better.
If you hold the ring flush with the back of the wheel, does it have any lateral "play"? I realize it wants to sit deeper -- like your photo shows -- but I think it should still work to support and center the hub.
If it wiggles around as it is, then I'd definitely be looking for a larger outer diameter. My hub rings are actually a tad too big, and will seat only with some convincing with a hammer. This may be extreme, but I would expect it to at least be comfortably snug with no play.

Mine sat completely flush and had zero movement. Those look like they may be 67mm outters if you told me yours was a 70mm if i remember correctly.
thats what the man at riax told me, 70mm od. so my gorilla hub rings are 57.1 id and 70mm od and no luck.. pisses me off cuz the damn things ran $33 shipped and there useless for my rims..
that sucks bro

$33 bucks... holy hell man. I got mine through pepboys from Motegi/american racing wheels for $9 and change in like 2 days. I don't remember the part #'s tho.... should be like 571700 with some letters in front of that
That's what happens when you don't research parts. I paid around $20 for mine to be overnighted so I could get them A.S.A.P. from a local shop.
what all else could i research? I called the manufacturer and they told me 70MM the one person i knew who else had these rims said he didnt know what size they were that fit.
Well i guess u were kinda right Zeke, called riax again, and asked for someone who knows what there talking about, guy came and asked him and he said he'd just give me the part number for them or i could send them $25 for a set of em, well i took the part number and went to my trusty tire shop and they ordered em for me for 15bucks.. guess that teaches me that i shouldnt trust the phone receptionists.. and when we looked up the part number it came back 72.20 OD.. damn them, good thing is i did sell my hubrings so the $16 that i got from that paid for the new ones so i guess all ended well other then me overpaying for some hubrings lol
guess this is how there supposed to seat lol, the snap right in, thank god
That looks alot better. Be sure to check your lug nuts/studs.
