Opinions On Tires

I know this is more of an opinion question than anything else. I've been running Pirelli P-Zero Nero for about a year and a half and while they were great brand new their performance now is lacking, to the tune of 2.7 60's. I'm looking for a good street tire that's gonna help me get those numbers down. I ran on Sunday and my best time was a 14.2, I was extremely angry, considering I ran 15.0 on motor, but I had a lot better 60's back then, right around the 2.0 mark. Now I have a turbo and traction is a serious issue. I don't go to the track that often, about 3-4 times a year, so drag radials are a bit ridiculous and I can't justify spending the money on them. Any suggestions for tires would be greatly appreciated.

BFG G-force series tires. i recomend the G-force Sport, best performance for the price, and the street performance is good too. they are a summer only tire though, so no snow traction at all.

i wonder if the turbo is the reason why you are running worse 60's. if you are getting a bit of turbo lag, a NA motor would smoke a lagging engine off the line.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!

Turbo Lag? The darn thing is spooled at launch, lag isn't an issue traction is. My problem with bying radials was solved today though. My cousin has a couple 15in steelies sittin in his garage that I knew nothing about, looks like I'll be getting radials to cure my crappy 60 blues. But for street tires I found the BFG g-force KD, the car doesn't see wet or winter roads so they will probably end up on the 18's this winter while the car sits in the garage on the stock 16's. Thanks for the opinions.

if your ordering g-force KD's, make sure you are going to a competent shop and installer.

they are BOTH a ASSYMETRICAL and DIRECTIONAL tire. this means that 2 right side tires and 2 left side tires need to be orderd.

they are a great tire, but that great tire can turn into @!#$ if some one who doesnt know what they are doing during the install.

good luck, and im sure that will solve your traction problem.

Coopers? You've got to be kiddin. I've never heard anything real good about those. And what kind of Toyo in particular. BTW I have been installing tires since I was 17 (24 now) I've even done a couple sets of g-force KD's yeah they're a pain the first time, but when you learn how to read the sidewall it's a snap. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ with the last comment I know you guys know how to read tires, that's why I'm asking for input from other J-Tuners that have used different tires.
