This is an idea that I've been toying with for a while, and just wanted to see what you guys think. I was thinking of having the lip on my rims to match my car when I get it painted. Manta helped me with a quick photoshop. Lets here some opinions....

I like it, but I think if you painted the wheels to match the car and left the lip it would look better.
I think your idea is actually pretty sick... only because your car is that rust/bronze colour -- and I like that colour a lot.
looks ok, but because your rims are black i think it will look like you took your steelies, put a white wall tire on there and just coloured it orange. persoanly i wouldnt do it. looks alright standing still, but when its moving it wont look that great.

Good point. I'm actually toying with painting the black orange and leaving the lip silver also like silver z suggested. Don't know yet though.
are the spokes on your rim really rounded or are they pretty flat and drop off the edges?
if they have a pretty flat face, it might look cool if you did either the black face with the orange inbetween the spokes or the orange face with black in between the spokes.
