I just bought some S-07R adr rims.they are 17x7 i do not know what size tire would be able to fit on them and on my car i need help and i am lost. I have a 2005 cavalier...help me...

Put a 205/50R17 on there, 215/45R17 at the widest. You can fit the 225 -- that is the preferred 17" size... but it will look like crap -- bulging over the sides of the wheels. It'll look like the 205/55R16's on our stock 6" wheels... gay.
ok yeah i wrote the company they said they recommend a 215/45r17 can anybody tell me if a 215/40r17 will work and if so which will look better i was told the tires would not be as thick on the 40 anyone know?
215/40/17 is the wrong size. 40 series tires are mainly for 18s. stick w/ the 215/45/17

nope 215/45/17 is good. thats what i had on my 17s
