Torque Specifications for 1995 Cavalier

Hi,

I just had my tires changed at Wal-Mart and they tightened my lugs to 100 lbs/inch

Then I came home and googled the torque specifications here:
http://www2.vsm.skf.com/Files/Brochures_in_PDF/457377.pdf

and it says the torque spec is 185 lbs/inch. Which one is correct? Should I tighten up my lugs?

Thanks in advance

If walmart tightened them that tight, they woudl likely fall off by the time you got home. Your lugs nuts (to hold your wheels on) should be torqued to 100 lbs/foot, not inch. The 185 lbs/foot is the spec for the axle nut. they are two different things. hope that clears up some things for you
