A spare tire I picked up for my g/f's 05 Accord LXSE coupe. Brand new, with the paint lines still on the tread. Did not notice the cuts in the junkyard. Not returnable, but it was only $15. A guy I work with had similar damage to a tire he got there, but has had it in use for about nine months with no problems. This tire, if useable, will only be a full size spare only, so who knows if it will even be used.
Okay, or NO WAY?
hey whats up . Its decently torn up there buddy . umm id say if your gunna use it for a spare it would be ok but there gunna have to bead seal the @!#$ out of that .. but after that i dont think it would be a problem holding air for em . take it to a tire shop and see what they say
deff. ok to be used as a full size spare. but DO NOT use it in every day driving. as blue said, they will have to use a deceant amount of bead seal, but once they get it to set the tire shouldn't have a problem holding air. make sure you take it to a shop that knows what they are doing though, and not some little hole in the wall... if it's not mounted right it WILL leak.
Should be ok if it seals, Take it to a shop and see.

I work at a tire shop, and that really not that bad of a rip. I see that quite often and that tire should have no problem holding, just look at the area around the rip once its aired up and make sure that it doesnt have a bulge in the sidewall. other then that you should be fine.
