I'm interested in re-drilling my hubs, but I'm afraid they aren't wide enough for the bolt pattern I want(5x114.5). If anyone is familiar with the front and rear hubs I would like your opinion. Thanks.
Stock cav. pattern = 5x100mm (about 5x4")
New pattern = 5x114.5 (5x4.5")
I don't think it's a good idia, and even if you can do it it would cost HUGE amonts of cash. Plus, just buy 5x100 rims, there's TONS.
1971 camaro 427 --- here!
Stock... and loving every minute of it.
its 5 x 114.3mm actually, and probably wouldnt be too hard. do some reasearch and test fitting to see if you can get grand am hubs, discs, and drums to fit on the car.
that might be the easiest solution.
there are lots of rims out there available for the 5 x 4.5" (5 x 114.3mm) bolt pattern, most of the larger vehicles run that.
Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
A lot of truck guys do it and it isn't really expensive. In a way I think it's too much trouble to go through, but there are so many more 20" wheels available in the other bolt pattern. I just want to know if this is even an option. I was looking at
THESE but I don't like the look of the dual pattern on that wheel.
