i was looking for a pair of lightweight rims and was wondering what some of yall suggestions r? i want somethin for trak use and the ocasional daily driving to get to the track and things . thanks
Check out Motegi Trak Lites. But first see if they'll fit—I've got another thread up asking if they're gonna be ok on my Sunfire at 17x8 with a 45mm offset, but nobody's responded yet. They're only 14.5lbs in that size.
Good luck!
you should search this topic it gets brought up alot. the majority of the people are gonna say motegi trak lites or centerline storm
Enkei RPF1.
On my non-j-body, I run 15x7 Enkei RPF1's during the summer. 9˝ pounds each.
I like the Kosei K1's but they might be a little heavier I think.... atleast the 17in ones. The 15's only weigh 13.5lbs. Thats 7.5lbs lighter at each corner than my stock rims. Thats total of 30lbs of rotating mass! Thats gotta help performance a little bit.

i think the falken hanabis are fairly light weight... i think around 16 pounds for 18s? anyways, joe schulte has his for sale. theyre pretty good looking rims too imo.
Check out my build thread!
Kosei K1's for a 17x7.5 are 16.3 pounds each. Decent wheel for the price. Hanabi's are about .6 pounds heavier at 16.94 each. The trade-off is that the hanabi's are a little stronger. K1's are gravity cast where as Hanabi's are LPC, or low pressure cast; thus making them slightly stronger.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?
some of the kazera wheels on tirerack.com are pretty light weight the lightest i found was i think 14.5lbs
K1's are gravity cast? I thought they were forged.

nope, gravity cast, hence the low cost.

how much do the centerlines weigh?

Rays Gramlights. I run 15x7 and they're pretty light, like 12 or 13 pounds I think, but I could be wrong. They're a little expensive, I paid like 220.00 per rim but they're forged so they're real light and real strong. Living in the country I see potholes and washboards everywhere I go and they hold up really well.

Lots to find there. Figure out what size you want and then check out all of the wheels that meet your weight requirement in that size.
All depends on the use for them. I just bought some track rims and they don't weigh anything. Like 10.5 pounds a piece iirc. However, Kazera rims off tirerack are usually pretty light for everyday use. So are 5zigen FNO1RC. Check them out.
I'll have a sig someday....................
Nissan for sale drop me a line!
I have 19" Centerline Excel's that weigh about 17 lbs. each. Now try to tell me that ain't lightweight.

That aint lightweight.
Sorry, but that's f'n heavy. But then again they're 19's so I guess it's all in how you look at it. Hope you upgraded the brakes.

wtf are you talking about?! 17lb is very light even if they were 17's
Sorry, 17lbs is NOT light for a 17" rim. It's fine for a 19" though.
They're really light compared to my 27 lb 18" MR7's.
With tire and air, mine are 46 lbs each!!!
