Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of rebuilding my 4T40E for boost. I have the level 10 rebuild kit with performance Raybestos clutches, Force Motor Solenoid, and a full LSD, (not the insert). My main question is, I was told the chain can be upgraded from a 3/4in to a 7/8 chain and sprockets from the 4T45E transmission. Has anyone ever done this, and will it make that big of a difference?

My auto trans may be on its way out so a rebuild may be in my future as well.

I think a few people modified the chains & sprockets from a 4T65E, but I was told the 4t45e chains and sprockets should swap over.
