So I finally have all my parts for the Quaife install into my Getrag F23, but guess what? The differential stubs are too large diameter to fit the replacement bearings!? The part number of the Quaife is correct so what gives? Anyone else who has done the Quaife install, I assume you used stock replacement differential taper roller bearings, right?
Also, can someone confirm part numbers for me: Quaife: QDH5J, also has 024886 stamped on the case.
This is really frustrating because the fitment isn't even close to the stock sized bearings. The OD of the stub shafts stock is ~41 mm. The OD on the Quaife's are ~50 mm. So you can see how screwed I am here. I will contact the vendor, but all of the part numbers match up so what gives?

ur SURE its not for an isusu?
180hp in 1989 or 145hp in 2002, you decide. >
Post a pic of it. You COULD have got a cobalt diff.
Well apparently the diff I got was the correct, wrong part number. Quaife published incorrect information to their vendors for our F23 transmissions. Just FYI for anyone else in the future - our part number should be QDF17B, not the QDH5J that I received. It seems that the vendor and Quaife are going to rectify the situation for me and ship me a new unit from the UK within a week or so.

so you finally bit the bullet and got a Quaife that you've been drooling over for 4 years? it's about time you bought something for your car.
my carDomain updated 6/11/10 Forged and Supercharged
so the question is...... what does your og diff fit, and do you have to ship it back?
Make sure you do a Driver Review on it, I dont think the JBO has had one in quite a few years (if any?)!

i will sell you the whole tranny with the Quaife in it for $1200 if anyone wants it. lol
Plus I am registered with Quaife and I will transfer the lifetime warranty to whoever might be interested.
