Is there a GM manual to follow in removing and replacing the shift fork and synchros? or leave it to the big boys? Id like to do it myself and have GM Global Connect to use. not sure if its all on there or not.
I have replaced the 1-2 shift fork and 1-2 gear set. It is not too hard. My post in the forum with the LSD install had pictures of everything we did.

yeah i believe i bent my 3-4
and the synchro is done for too. are the synchro's a gm part that you can get at a dealer?
You likely did not bend anything. I would bet the nylon tips are bad. This can also be the reason you are getting signs of bad synchro's.
I can not answer on the buying the synchro's part. I would recommend getting a used tranny for parts and swapping what every gear set you thnk is messed up. Along with the 3-4 shift fork.

Im sure I have a spare set of forks or two that you can have for the cost of shipping, if you need them. I never had an issue with 3-4.
