alright fellas... i got a good one for you... i just bought this 1997 z24 auto from a 18yr old in atlanta... this was his first car and he really wanted to tune it out... he put a huge eye sore of a wing on the back... cut a hole in the bumper and put pipe clamps on to hold his exhaust pipe on... oh and used some sort of wire to hold it up... i got a nice set of headlights out of the deal... and he threw a wepon R intake on it... the paint is horrible like he went smashing into all the buggies @ walmart.... and he cut the springs to lower it... i already went on ebay and bought Tein set... they are a direct fit up to stock.. drops the front 1.25 and rear 1.5... i think i paid 250 after shipping and what not...
my problem is... every time i start the car it skip idles... im thinking thats because he disconnected the Mass Air Flow sensor when he put the new intake on... therefore making the car run rich... i need to find one of those on the low... im thinkin a junkyard... but if yall got a website that i can order with my card and be lazy and stay home!!!! lol.... and i need a new tranny for it too.. everytime i put the car into drive it makes a hard clunk into gear, jerkin the wheels foward... and when you drive it does it in every gear just less of a jump as i go faster... now it will do this in every gear... once it gets warm and i feather the gas it will shift somewhat soft... but again i was just lookin for parts online and couldnt find anything... if you have any input i would be thankful...
as you can see im really trying to bring her back to life... my wife likes it so i guess ill give it to her... i found a 01' on craigslist for 3k... wasnt in bad shape at all... and its a 5speed.. CHEAHHH...
I'm 100% the problem is you do not have a IAT sensor....Intake air temperature sensor......hooked up.....not a MAF Sensor

how low do you need it to be? an IAT sensor costs $15 new.

yea 15 is good... i went to autozone and told them what i needed and the part they were trying to give me was like $55... i told them they could shove it... cuz the one for my mistubishi wasnt only like 10 or 15 like you said.... do you have a site or store i can get that from?
okay... the same day i posted this thread my wife took the car to work... everything ran great on her way to work... besides the obvious hard shifts... but she said on her way home the car started knocking really loud... and then the car lost power... by the time she got home i went and checked it out and it runs like its missing on one of the cylinders... the exhaust smells really gasy like its not burning all the fuel... and the car dies everytime i try to put it in drive or turn the A/C on... i just pulled the cover thinking a plug or one of those plastic things came un-done... but everything was tight... anyone know why of the sudden death of the cavie ?
Are the plugs Bosch, by any chance?

alright so i did a few things to try and rule out a few things.. i pulled each one of the little plastic spark plug things out one at a time to see if there was a spicific cylinder or plug or whatever that wasnt working and i couldnt get one... no matter which one i pulled it ran the same... its really starting to piss me off that i cant figure this out...
