so long as you get a trans from another ohv, it will bolt up to the engine.

Someone posted a link to this Fiero swap page showing how to put a 4T60 (not 4T60E) in to a Fiero. It's very probable that this can be done in the J body as well. The nice thing about this swap is that the PCM and wiring harness do not have to be changed since the 4T60 is cable/vacuum operated like the 3T40. I haven't done this swap yet, but once I get my hands on a 4T60 trans I am going to look in to doing this.
