you cut off an useless part o the sub frame. I have had to deal with pulling F23s way to many times.
jack her up, saw off the > piece on the tip of the subframe. Drop the old out lift the new one in. Having a jack to do it helps. Trans isn't all that heavy, but wears on you if you can't get the splines lined up immediately.

Its a little over 100# if I am not mistaken. Bulky and awkward to install by yourself. The Isuzu goes in much easier, its lighter too.
i put mine on jackstands, unbolted the tranny, dropped the subframe bout and inch and it came out.. was tight but it came without touching the motor or cutting the subframe.

also, after the shaft was out of the clutch asmbly, it came straight down. i was under it, lowered it to my chest and then rolled it slowly over to the floor. went back in the same way. and it might weigh 70-80 lbs. im a skinny mofo and brought it down and then put it back up with one other guy guiding it from the top.

I just finished doing mine, esy as pie.
You'll see the "fork" at the end of the subframe where the driver's side Control Arm bolts in. just cut the tip of the fork off up untill the first bolt hole.
with a set of normal hand tools, a jack, and a friend to assist guiding it down/up safley you should be able to have the tranny on the ground in 30 minutes to an hour.
don't forget to place a rag in either hole where the half shafts splines were in the transmission.
thanks for the info
