tearing apart 4t40

Anyone done it? What I want to know is if I'll need any special tools or anything. I'm installing a team green lsd in the next day or two. I've searched and couldn't find anything. I would order a 4t40 manual, but don't have the time. I've worked on transmissions before, but all older ones (th-350, th400, 200-4r, 700r4, etc.)

Not really any special tools required to tear it down that you would'nt need anyway tearing down a trans...If your going that far I would almost say rebuild the damn thing...Just do it the right way.

IF you have all the tools to do proper clearence checks, teardown, and reassembly you should not have to ask what you need beyond the basics...the Servo pushrod length measurement is extremely critical in these though so make sure you have a feasible and accurate way of measuring if you dont have that particular special tool. Otherwise everything else can be fudged by and still be considered a valid repair.
