My 2000 Z24 has been changing gears hard and jerks when it changes gear it never done it intil i put a bomz cold air intake on it so it seems to gotton worse so i put my factory intake back on hoping that it would fix it but its still doing it i worried thats its gonna throw my transmission out or somthing has anybody had this problem or know anything that could be causeing this i dont know if the aftermarket intake had anything to do with it or not but i know i aint puting it back on my car runs smoother with the factory intake
yea hes right... check the IAT wire closely. and make sure the sensor itself didnt get dirty. then disconnected your battery for mabe 15mins to reset everything.

yea i just posted a new thread on here today about this... i have a 1997 and it shifts hard just like your saying... but i dont think your intake had anything to do with it... mine is skipping and missing bad with the intake i have on it... i bought it with it... i think it runs like that cuz my mass air flow sensor isnt pluged in making the car run rich... but the shifting im not really sure... ive been trying to look online for a new or used one i could get cheep but the closest ive seen was 1100.... i only paid 1200 for the car... if you know anything let me know... and im gonna try and find this IAT wire yall are talking about... maybe thats my problem too.. that would be great if it was an eze fix and i didnt have to pay a butt load of money...

it's not plugged in because j-body cars do not have MAF sensors.
